Recovery Ally Training

Tuesday 30th January 2024, 2-4pm, at Brunswick Methodist Church

This event aims to give people more confidence in talking and listening to people who are struggling with addiction and those in recovery. To be aware of the challenges and stigma they face, the language which is helpful and unhelpful, and to learn some of the assets people in recovery bring.

Many of our churches have spaces where people who struggle with addiction or seek recovery come to find hospitality or a spiritual home, this training aims to give people a little more confidence in these encounters and signpost to help.

This will be led by Recovery Connections who run Gateshead, Middlesbrough, Stockton and Darlington DayHab facilities.
